Cheeseburger Spring Rolls
Ingredients
Spring Roll Filling
- 500g premium beef mince
- 10 slices dairyworks cheddar cheese (diced)
- 1 small white onion (finely diced)
- ½ cup dill pickles (finely diced)
- ⅔ cup american mustard
- ⅔ cup tomato ketchup
Other
- 1 egg (beaten)
- 12 large spring roll wrappers
- 2 cups vegetable oil
Method
- Cook mince in a stainless steel pan on medium heat and season with salt and pepper.
- Once cooked, transfer to a glass bowl and place in fridge.
- Mix sauces, pickles, onion and cheese until combined.
- Mix cooled mince and cheese/sauce mix until combined.
- Place 4 tablespoons of mixture onto the lower middle section of the spring roll wrapper, ensuring the corner is facing you.
- Bring the bottom corner of the wrapper up and over the filling, tuck the side corners over and roll, leaving 3-4 cm until the top corner.
- Using a basting brush, spread a small amount of egg on the top corner and roll the filling towards it, sealing the roll.
- Heat the oil to 170c and fry the rolls until golden brown.
